We encourage everyone who loves music to consider joining – those who would like to learn, those returning to playing, right through to graded musicians, we have a group for you. We are a family friendly bunch of all instruments and ages who share a love of music, and play many different styles; there is something for everyone! Our members come from all over Gippsland; from Bairnsdale to Munro, even as far as Traralgon. Come along to rehearsal or see the band perform, and experience the joy that comes with making music. We hope to meet you soon!
Thank you to everyone that helped to make our Maffra Mardi Gras entry such a great success. We raised over $10,000 which will go towards the purchase of new instruments, music and more for our five groups; Training Band, Concert Band, Stage Band, String Orchestra & Ukulele Group.
Maffra Municipal Band is a community musical organisation, based in Maffra, Victoria. The band includes Beginner, Intermediate & Senior Concert Bands, String Orchestra, Stage Band, Ukulele group and Choir. Through hard work, dedication, and a little bit of fun, Maffra Band has made its mark, performing at community events and celebrations throughout Gippsland. Our music continues to dazzle crowds at events both near and far, as it always has.
